Some projects begin in meeting rooms. This one started with Atlantic wind moving papers around and a coffee that got cold far too quickly.
SalDestiny wasn’t born in an office, but in Santa Maria, facing the ocean, with a notebook full of notes and a clear feeling that this island deserved something different: a guide that tells its story without clichés or brochure phrases.
From the beginning, the idea was simple: observe, listen and write down what really matters when you live on — or visit — Sal.

Behind SalDestiny there is a point of view, not a tourism company.
A point of view shaped by many years spent living between Africa and Europe, which eventually led here.
Sal is a place where African rhythms and European habits coexist naturally. One day you’re having cachupa for breakfast, the next you’re enjoying a quiet coffee by the ocean.
That balance, lived from the inside, is what gave shape to this project.
SalDestiny doesn’t aim to speak about the island, but from the island.
We keep things simple and useful.

No grand missions or catchy slogans. Just a guide that works and stays honest.
Sal is always changing — and so is SalDestiny.
This project isn’t a finished website, but a growing notebook.
If something is missing — a place, a story, a detail — it can be added. The more perspectives come together, the more useful and true the guide becomes.
SalDestiny doesn’t try to have the final word — it simply keeps documenting the island as it unfolds.

List your business on SalDestiny and connect with tourists from all over the world. Whether you run a restaurant, hotel, shop, or activity, we help you reach the visitors who matter most.
